2012 game developers conference (gdc): san francisco

In 2012, Louisiana was heavily recruiting not just game development companies, but game developers as well. With big name studios operating in the state--EA Sports, Gameloft, Moonbot--the state had a very interesting story to tell. The team took to the streets (literally) with a food truck at the 2012 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Using social media direct response and guerrilla marketing tactics, we initiated conversations with hundreds of professionals in the space over po'boys and local root beer. The effort generated several leads for company expansions/relocations as well as talent and was so successful it was replicated at the E3 conference in Los Angeles a few weeks later.

My role on this project was to manage its overall execution in collaboration with LED's business development and workforce recruitment teams. Our team developed the concept, worked with conference organizers, executed the design and operations, managed the marketing and attended the events.
